The fact that I came into work and didn’t stay in my cozy
bed speaks volumes.
I even managed to tough it out yesterday. I did relax on my
couch when I got home. I watched the pilot of Twin Peaks since I am still all
jazzed about the new episodes coming soon. It still holds up in its
fantastic-ness. Agent Cooper is quirky and adorable and all the other
characters are wonderfully complex and goofy and interesting all around.
When I took the boys to practice, the pups and I walked
around the block, which is much larger than I thought. We then hung out in the
car while I read a book. The walk I think helped my back. I am hoping to keep
up with a walk a day, even if it isn’t super far. I know the pups enjoyed the
outing.
Dax was rather stressed yesterday afternoon because he
forgot his folder at the school that had his homework in it. I told him not to
freak out. The packet isn’t due until Friday and he was able to spend time on
his science packet that he did bring home. I resisted the urge to drive up to
the school with him to get it. Both boys need to have some consequences to
forgetting things like homework. They also need to know it isn’t the end of the
world.
