Good night! Crazy Morning

3-5-09

I was mostly good yesterday afternoon. I did go home and sit around for a bit. Although, I also cleaned up some of Bobby’s room. We had him pick out friends that he wanted to keep down and accessible, and ones he wanted up on his shelf. I was surprised at some he kept down. Saddened by others. I may be more attached to his friends then he is. Either way, it cleaned up his room quite a bit and it looks much better. Now we need to work on all those freaking toys!!

We planted some seeds and plants in our porch planters, which is way cool. Bobby helped Ken with it and he loved it. Now he needs a little watering can. The one we have is just too big. But we figure this is a good start to the garden we are going to plant.

After the boys were in bed, I sat down on my ass with the intent to just check Facebook and then get back into my movie. Little did I know that I would be chat queen! Serena chatted me first, then Angela, and then Scotty. I was chatting with all three at the same time. Boy, if I changed the word chatted, it would sound dirty!! It was cool! Serena is out of town, so it was nice to kind of catch up. Angela being on Facebook is great since it is a little easier to get in touch with her. She is still dealing with the leaning curves of FB, but it seems to work. The chatting function is great, since it allows us to talk in real time.

The chat with Scotty was great. I adore him and really we don’t see each other enough. Especially lately with us not coming up as much. It was nice to bs with him on stuff and be dorks together. Loved it!!

Oh no! I just heard that girl scout cookies are out?!?!?! YIE! I am in trouble.

So I watched some more of my movie yesterday afternoon. Holy crap, crying harder than I have in ages. Just the idea of losing my husband and then trying to move on just seemed so hard to even fathom. I was just lost. And then this poor girl is getting letters from him (he set them up to send before he died) and all of them tell her to do things. One was sing at this karaoke bar. She is singing to the crowd, but in her mind, she is singing only to her husband, that they show in an empty room. I lost it. I was glad no one was home. It took a bit to get cleaned up to go get the boys.

Crossing my fingers today that the Supreme Court is good. Prop 8 stuff on the line. I just don’t understand how people don’t see how basic this is. Whether or not you agree with the practice, let folks marry who they love. They don’t have to do it in your churches. They don’t have to ask for your blessing. They just want their rights, which is what the idiots out there are trying to take away. They talked to the mayor of San Francisco today. Some guy called in and said, but isn’t gay marriage a slippery slope to polygamy. Are you freaking kidding me? This is where you are going? It isn’t the point. Although, I have to say, what does that fucking matter??? If people want to marry 5 people and everyone involved is ok with it, what does it freaking matter? Sheesh people. Stop worrying so much about what other people do to be happy. You worry about people going to hell. Look, if they aren’t worry, it isn’t your job to worry. You are concerned it will corrupt our children. Ok, yeah, so our kids will now know that we are part of a country that protects freedom of speech, religion and just basic human rights. Oh no! Not that! I can’t have my boys thinking that they are in a free country. That would be awful! Are you kidding me with this? There was a time in which women and blacks couldn’t vote. Was that a good idea? Nope. So we fixed it. Now we are fixing this issue. We are evolving as a country and we are coming to the realization that we shouldn’t spin our wheels on trying to take away rights, but that we should be spending some time getting our country out of economic turmoil. I have faith that this must be the case since we put someone in office that represents change. Not to get all political, but let’s cross our fingers he can make even a few changes in the right direction.

Joel Mchale is on Kevin and Bean. I am so excited!! YAY!

I swear, everyone took Stupid Puffs this morning. If I get one more stupid person today, I may scream. It has been everything from people thinking I handle something to just not knowing the policies. Signatures missing, bosses not getting the big picture. I just wish someone would think!!

Apparently all I have to do when I get home is some laundry! YAY! Ken said he took care of the rest. Way awesome. I suppose I need to make dinner, too, but that is easy. I am thinking spaghetti. I wish I had some parmesan. Oh well. I will make it and bake it with mozzarella. That will still be good, right?

Apparently Genaisms are still big around here. I just described a smell of someone’s lunch as smelling like “someone died at the pier”. It was met with agreement and overwhelming approval. I also told them that pics of that dog that won the coveted title of ugliest dog looked like Yoda having been caught in a house fire. They are still laughing. Am I that funny? Or are they that easy?
