I need a title generator

3-4-09

What a craptastic evening.

First off, I was in pain. I had a headache, probably caused by the tooth pain I am still in. A couple days ago, I got some beef jerky stuck in between my teeth. I had to wait until I got home to get it out as I had no floss on hand at work. The thing with jerky, I think it actually must have some kind of barbs that come out and hook on to anything it comes in contact with. It took a bit of effort to get it out. It left my gums in the area bloody and my tooth way sore. I assumed it would be fine now. Instead, it has left my tooth sore since. I think that I may have aggravated it, and that there actually is a cavity there. I don’t know, though. Ken said he has had this happen and it just might take a couple days for it to be less sore. In all fairness, it doesn’t hurt today as much as it did yesterday. I also think I may have made it more sore with the gum I chewed yesterday. Either way, I am unhappy with my soreness.

So this made me all kinds of cranky. The boys and I went to my workout, and that went well. I broke my step record and did a great workout, complete with 3 step workouts, boxing and hula hoop along with yoga and strength training. We left the house a little after 5.

Of course, before we left, the boys played with chalk. My dad helped Bobby draw this big guy. Bobby pointed out that he was naked. Then he told my dad that he forgot to draw the penis. So my dad draws a very crude, well, line for the penis. Bobby was happy again. When my mom got home, Bobby showed my mom that there was in fact a penis so the guy could pee. Then, he sat on the ground next to it, lied down on his stomach, hands on his cheeks and says, “Let’s look at the penis.” All thoughtful and stuff. It was so freaking funny.

Ken had reminded me earlier that it was voting day. Sigh. Ok, fine, so I would pick Ken up and we would go vote. Yes, it is down the street, but we also needed to go to the grocery store to get milk and bread. Luckily voting took all of 3 minutes. It was amusing to walk in and see this set of crazy rednecks running the voting station. They looked menacing, and spoke very little. I think one of them grunted. On the plus side, they had new “I voted” stickers.

We ran over to the store. It was now around 6. The boys were hungry. I was hungry and I was sore and tired. We did the store thing pretty quick, and then got in the car. Ken pointed out that his car was ready at the shop, so I was going to take him by there for him to pick up his car. It was supposed to be just one of those tuck and roll style drop offs. As I drove off towards home, I get a text. The battery on the blazer is dead. Sigh. So I headed back. After 20 minutes, we got it charged enough to go. So now, I have super hungry kids, a super hungry me, and it was all kinds of cranky in my car. So we finally got home about 20 till 7.

Kids were eating, and the Tivo crashed in the middle of their show. Sigh. Why????????

I got some food in my tummy, I got the kids down for bed, and I found some chocolate. All was right with the universe at that moment. Finally. Then it was really time to crawl into bed.

I was still pissy. Everything was setting me off. So much so that when I got agitated, I felt like puking. It was like this wave of me being frustrated with the lack of control on things. I don’t know what it was. I really just needed to reboot my system, I guess.

Today should be better, in theory. Although, I have had the bad feelings about work lately. Like something is going down, and we will know very soon what it is. I could be wrong, which I really hope is the case. But I can tell you, if I am right, I am going to really stress.

I actually don’t think I have anything scheduled for this afternoon, which is awesome. I may need to go home and put my feet up for a while. I have some cleaning to do, including laundry, but it may need to wait until tomorrow. I am considering busting out some kind of paint or something for the boys to do when they get home. Sure, it is messy, but they need baths, and it will keep them entertained. I will go through Bobby’s closet to see what I can find. I have some games and I have the arts and crafts box, so perhaps I can locate something.

Lycos was in Bobby’s room last night while Ken and he played a game. So when I got in there to read to him, she was still there. She didn’t want to stay in there (despite her fondness for the kids, she is still our dog). This upset Bobby. Between Monarch and Lycos, both like being in there when we are in there, but want to come out when we leave. Bobby gets upset since he wants them to stay. Ken and I discussed maybe moving Lycos’s crate into Bobby’s room. It would be her safe zone, so she might be more inclined to want to be there. Plus, since she stays in her crate, Bobby would be less distracted by her walking around, but would have her there. This may be a win win, although I don’t know how the dog will feel. We will need to rearrange Bobby’s room to do this, but it might be good since I want to put in a shelf for Bobby’s “friends” anyway, and I want to redo his toys, so this may be a good excuse. Perhaps this weekend we will work on that.

This weekend may be Ken working at the shop part of the time. There is still some unloading and organization that needs to be done. It will give me a second to regroup to figure out what is the next area to tackle at home. The boys’ rooms is always good to work on. Besides, with the new chore lists, if I can make the rooms less cluttered, then it is easier to keep clean per the list. I also have all these large toy things. Like car tracks and stuff like that. As much as they like them, I don’t know that they play with them enough to keep them, but I don’t have a place to put them so that they are put away but accessible. I need a play room. I need something like out of Peter Pan. The big round room that has the cool giant windows. How great would that be?

They just had a wacky show biz beat that included several songs by ABC, one by Flock of Seagulls and one by Adam Ant. I may need to fire up Ichipod today to listen to some 80’s tunes.

I suppose I should get to work.

Did they just advertise the musical “Grease” as the “Original High School Musical”? OMG. Are you freaking kidding me? They are not even in the same category. Damn you, HSM.

I don’t think my children have anything green. They may, but it is doubtful. They are heavy into blue, red and black. I guess I should change that. Dax has a lot of orange. Really, it is a lot of Halloween stuff, since that is when I stock up on shirts. What?! They like skulls and spiders. Target always has cute shirts on sale. What am I gonna do?

I think I am getting sick. My nose is stuffy. I am not happy about this. I am protesting.

I want to make soup tonight. I don’t have bouillon. Grrrr…
